Our client is a Mining Company, and currently they are looking for Manager Project Services, with following working responsibilities and requirement:

Working Responsibilities:
  • To manage the Project Services function with the Project Owner’s Team.
  • To be responsible for establishing and maintaining the specific Project Controls governance, processes and procedures across the Site portfolio of expansion projects.
  • Working within a Functional Management structure, to provide a day-to-day support to the Project Managers, Area Managers and the associated management teams whilst supporting functional responsibilities.
  • To support the Programme and Project Management in producing and maintaining the project governance documentation.
  • To establish and maintain Commercial controls, Baseline and Change Management processes and procedures.
  • To carry out maintenance of cost and schedule models against scope and reporting on budgets, performance and forecasting.
  • To be responsible for Owner’s Team Progress Measurement and Reporting.
  • To establish and maintain Project Risk Register and to be responsible for Risk Management function.
  • To manage development of Project’s capital cost estimates, budgets and forecast at completion including establishment of contingency and other applicable allowances.
  • To implement Mining & Minerals’ Processing Industry’s best practices including Earned Value Management (EVM) in planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of degree and/or Diploma in Engineering or Science.
  • Postgraduate qualifications / certifications in Project Management or related field of study.
  • At least 15 years operational and capital project experience on large capital projects (Capex in excess of $500M) in Minerals Processing in both brownfield and greenfield environment.
  • At least 7 years of extensive experience in a Project Controls Management position on major projects including at least 5 years with Tier 1 EPCM contractors on a major minerals processing project(s) through the Implementation phase.
  • Has previously managed preparation of definitive cost estimates on several major Minerals’ Processing projects.
  • Demonstrates strong commercial awareness.
  • Primavera P6 and ERP toolset and system proficiency.
  • Member of the PMI; a PMP certified and/or willing to study for.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Highly developed leadership and management skills.
  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Project and Primavera P6.
  • Expert in Earned Value Management.
  • Shows drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
