Position: Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator, Jambi

Qualifications:

• Fluency or working proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia
• Ability to organize, collate, analyse and interpret information and data (both qualitative and quantitative) on the ecological and social aspects of conservation
• Ability to manage databases
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to a range of audiences
• Ability to think laterally and creatively
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Proven ability to work sensitively with a range of local partners
• Fluency or working proficiency in English
• A relevant first degree relating to conservation or related discipline
• Experience in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data including: SMART patrol data, village data, data licensing, camera traps, biodiversity monitoring, species monitoring, wellbeing monitoring, Spatial data, for example using the Hansen datasets
• Experience of working with social forestry approaches to conservation
• Understanding of sustainable enterprises and livelihoods approaches
• Building trust & good relationships with communities
• An understanding of and experience of working in or with international NGOs
• Familiarity with Participatory tools that encourage joint analysis, learning and action.
