Social Studies Teacher

Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani is an Islamic school that has the aim to nurture its students with Islamic noble characters. We are now looking for a Social Studies Teacher with the following criteria.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education/Geography/ Master Degree in related subject
• Holding a teaching certificate is more preferred
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience in the same position in an English environment
• Cambridge Curriculum, Singaporean Curriculum, or IB Curriculum experiences will be considered as an advantage
• Proven self-initiative, creative and teamwork spirit with an open-minded character
• Possess strong Islamic characters
• Fluent in English both oral and written
• Ready to join as soon as possible

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develops complete lesson plans and student’s assessment strategies along with its instructional resources based on student’s needs and interests
• Delivers instructional activities and adjusts them accordingly to ensure student’s academic development
• Works collaboratively with the classroom team to apply the research-based activities within the curriculum implementation
• Completes regular assessments within the school academic year by having multiple assessment evidence from various learning activities
• Holds parents-teachers conferences throughout the academic year regarding their children’s performance
• Maintains a safe and healthy learning environment
• Maintains an ongoing and comprehensive student’s profile for each student
• Completes continuous professional development and applies the knowledge and skills to support the instructional activities
• Provides constant guidance and motivation to students

Others: The school may assign other functions to the job when required
